THE KREMLIN


The Moscow Kremlin is the chief architectural ensemble of the city. It has few rivals in the number of unique masterpieces or architecture and other arts concentrated within its walls. The skyline of the Kremlin is strikingly majestic and picturesque. RED SQUARE


Few places in the world are destined to become a kind of symbol. One of them is Red Square, a symbol ofgreat emotive power. Although the square itself is not very big (695 metres long and 130 metres wide), it impresses one by the richness and variety of its forms which merge in austere harmony.

STATE ARMOURY

DIAMOND TREASURY


The Armoury building contains a permanent exhibition entitled The Diamond Treasury of the USSR, which was opened in 1967. Here on show are the finest items from the Soviet stale collection of precious stones andjewellery of great historical, artistic and financial value, and also gold and platinum nuggets.
